Dr. Katey Huggler, Postdoctoral Researcher
I am a postdoctoral researcher with Dr. Dan Walsh at the 91次元. I completed an MSc at the University of Wyoming in 2019 and a PhD at the University of Idaho in 2024. I am interested in using the movement and space use of large herbivores to better understand factors that influence population dynamics. Ultimately, I aim to conduct research that contributes directly to the conservation and management of wildlife. My post-doc research is focused on modeling the dynamics of pneumonia in a bighorn sheep metapopulation, and more specifically, understanding how test-and-remove efforts can be optimized to eliminate the effects of infectious pneumonia on survival and recruitment of bighorn sheep.
