Liudmila Karaseva is graduating with a B.A. in Multidisciplinary Studies, Summa Cum Laude, with a focus in 'The Arts' and 'Human Studies'. Having first received her Associate of Arts in 2019, Liudmila returned to college to complete her bachelor's and is elated to finish this Spring. She is currently planning on taking a well-earned respite from school before returning to pursue a Master's in Counseling in the future. "I feel incredible grateful to have gotten the assistance and opportunity for higher education."

Silver Little Eagle, a citizen of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, will graduate in the Spring 2025 commencement ceremony with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BSW), Summa Cum Laude Silver recently completed her BSW practicum as a Youth Engagement Specialist at the Missoula non-profit EmpowerMT. This summer marks the start of big plans for Silver. She will commence studies in a year-long Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program at the 91´ÎÔª, while simultaneously beginning an internship at the American Indian Governance and Policy Institute on a Baucus Leaders MT Fellowship from the Max S. Baucus Institute. There, she will be completing projects that provide tribal governments with evidence-informed tribal policymaking support to address the core causes of socioeconomic challenges in health-related issues on reservations.

Quemarr Moatamedi-Ramos is a Spanish major at the 91´ÎÔª with a deep passion for language, culture, and global connection. After studying abroad in Spain in 2023 on a Gilman Scholarship and volunteering in Seattle through UM’s Alternative Spring Breaks, he is now working toward a future as an interpreter for an international organization.

Victor Perez Carrillo is an immigrant from Mexico and a proud first-generation college student. In May 2025, he will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Tourism, and Recreation Management before commissioning as a Second Lieutenant in the Montana Army National Guard, where he plans to serve in either logistics or aviation. Upon returning from officer training at Fort Knox, Victor plans to pursue a dual civilian career in public service—potentially as a state or federal law enforcement officer, park ranger, or game warden. His long-term goals include serving his community, protecting natural resources, and developing a wildlife photography business that reflects his passion for conservation and culture. Regarding his college journey, Victor stated: "TRIO has provided invaluable support throughout my academic journey. The resources, mentorship, and inclusive environment helped me grow both personally and professionally. I am deeply thankful for my peers, my family, and my community for standing beside me every step of the way."

Jessica Ragan is graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration this Spring. A first-generation college student, Jess is excited to further her education by pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy here at UM. She is looking forward to this next chapter in her life, and is elated to continue her studies in beautiful Missoula.

A first-generation college student, J. Viola Smith has had a blast learning and growing at UM. She is elated to be graduating this Spring with two bachelor's degrees and two undergraduate certificates, and will receive Cum Laude honors for each. She will receive her Bachelor of Arts in Art; her Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a Concentration in Pre-Dance Therapy; a Certificate in Ceramics; and a Certificate in Dance Wellness. Following graduation, J. plans to work with SPARK Arts in Missoula for a while, and then hopes to travel while working on organic farms. She also plans to have her own little ceramic business up and running by the end of the summer, so keep an eye out on her Instagram for the launch!

Hailing from Los Angeles, Mayra Zuniga is a proud first-generation Latina college graduate and a passionate science student. This Spring, Mayra will receive her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Concentration in Human Biological Sciences. Working at Garden City Funeral Home for the past year has sparked Mayra's deep interest in the field of forensics. She ultimately aspires to pursue a career in that area by working with the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. Reflecting on her time with TRIO, Mayra stated: "I could not have done it without the support of TRIO. My first year at the 91´ÎÔª was challenging, but meeting Macy Piñon changed everything. She helped me create a structured schedule and met with me weekly for counseling sessions that kept me focused and on track. My advice to other students is do not compare yourself to others when it comes to grades. Everyone’s journey is different. And if you ever feel lost or just need someone to talk to, reach out to the TRIO counselors they are always there to help."
