The resolution appended was approved. The distribution of the Bertha Morton Applications was briefly discussed. Most of the applications are from students in the professional schools. It was suggested that Professor Murphy review proposals with the Humanities and the arts. Camie and Chair Broberg will work on redistribution for the review. There was concern that some applicants were not on the list. Additional students from the sciences were added by the Graduate School. Chair Broberg spoke to ECOS about expectations for the Interim Assessment Review. It recommends a brief report and recommendation be submitted to ECOS. The materials for Women and Gender Studies did not reference the Graduate Certificate. The subcommittee has attempted to contact the director. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 12:51 p.m. Intercollegiate Graduate Program Move Process Resolution Whereas reorganization of Academic Affairs is underway at the 91Ԫ; academic units, including those offering graduate degrees, are proposed for movement from one college/school to another college/school; and Graduate Council is charged by the Faculty Senate to review such proposals for their effect on graduate education Be it resolved, Graduate Council recommends that Faculty Senate adopt a resolution, requesting the Provosts Office follow the policy below for intercollegiate moves of graduate education programs: All intercollegiate moves of graduate programs shall be accompanied by a complete report on instructional budget consequences of the move, including, but not limited to, a clear statement of the amounts of funding that will move with the program, any assets or liabilities that shall remain in the original college or school, and those that will follow the unit to its new college or school. The report shall be prepared by the Provosts Office. An analysis of the impact of the allocation of all moving unit resources and liabilities on graduate education at the 91Ԫ, prepared by the Provosts Office, will accompany the report on move consequences. Affected units will be meaningfully consulted by the Provost or their designee prior to submission of the report and analysis. Minutes will be taken of the consultation and affected units will affirm that the minutes accurately reflect the content of the meeting or suggest edits to correct, add or delete items in the minutes.
